    Q. What is MyHotspex?
    MyHotspex is a survey website that consumers (Hotspex Innovators) join to help leading brands develop better products and services by answering fun and engaging surveys.
    Q. What is a Hotspex Innovator?
    A Hotspex Innovator is a member of MyHotspex.com. Hotspex Innovators share a common interest of taking online surveys to influence the world around them.
    Q. Where do I find surveys?
    There are 2 places to find Hotspex surveys. The first is on the myHotspex website, where you can find ‘Fun’ surveys (surveys written by Hotspex that are meant to entertain you and possibly teach you something about yourself). The second place is in your email inbox, where you will find surveys that are being conducted for Hotspex clients. In these surveys you will play a key role in the development of new products and services. Be sure to add Carly@myhotspex.com to your email safelist so you don’t miss out on any survey invites.
    Q. Is there a cost to be a Hotspex Innovator?
    No, being a Hotspex Innovator is FREE! We even reward you with valuable Hotspex BUX that you can spend in our myRewards section or donate in our myCharity section!
    Q. What are Hotspex BUX and how can I spend them?
    Hotspex BUX are points that are earned by completing Hotspex surveys.
    • You can exchange them for Amazon Gift Cards or PayPal funds in our myRewards section. CLICK HERE!

    Q. How do I know if I have won a prize?
    All winners of Hotspex contests are contacted by email. Once contacted, the winner of the contest has 7 (seven) days to respond to the email and claim the prize. If the contest winner does not respond within the allotted 7 (seven) days a new winner will be chosen.
    Q. Am I eligible to win more than 1 prize?
    Yes! However, you are only eligible to win a prize every 3 months (or 90 days). For a period of 3 months (or 90 days) after you win your prize you will not be able to spend your BUX on any contests in the Prize XChange. You will, however, be able to spend your BUX in the myCharity section and the HotPot. Once 3 months (or 90 days) have passed after you've won your prize, you will then be able to spend BUX in the Prize XChange again.
    Q. I do not live in Canada. Can I still win Hotspex prizes?
    MyHotspex is NOT just for Canadians. You can live in either Canada or the USA to participate in our surveys and win our prizes.
    Q. What is the Hotspex HotPot?
    The Hotspex HotPot is a monthly 50/50 draw where the prize amount (awarded in Hotspex BUX) is determined by you and your fellow Innovators. Each month Hotspex loads the HotPot with 10,000 BUX, and the rest is up to you! Contributions can be made to the HotPot all month long. At the end of the month one lucky winner who has contributed to the HotPot will win half of the BUX that are in the HotPot. The other half will be donated to the Hotspex featured charity of the winner's choice.
    Q. What is the Monthly Draw?
    The Monthly Draw is a draw where you can win cash prizes just for completing surveys. You don't need to enter any of your BUX, you just need to make sure you complete at least one Hotspex survey a month to be automatically entered into the draw. At the end of the month, you'll be contacted by email if you're one of the lucky winners!
    Q. How do I update my personal information?
    Simply click on the ”Edit Profile” button located on the top-right of the MyHotspex website. To go there now, CLICK HERE.
    Q. How do I change my email address or MyHotspex password?
    Simply click on the ”Edit Profile” button located on the top-right of the MyHotspex website. To go there now, CLICK HERE.
    Q. Does Hotspex conduct surveys in other languages?
    Some Hotspex surveys are conducted in French. If you would rather receive survey invitations in French, CLICK HERE. In the ‘PROFILE INFO’ section select French.
    Q. I am having difficulty logging in, what should I do?
    MyHotspex requires that you enable your browser's cookies or use a browser that supports cookies. If you are having problems using the website, please make sure that your cookies are enabled. For more details CLICK HERE.
    Q. I would like to be a Hotspex Innovator, but I do not wish to receive email from Hotspex. Is this possible?
    This is possible, but it means that you will only be able to participate in Hotspex ‘Fun’ surveys. For security reasons all surveys conducted for Hotspex clients will only be mailed to your email address. If you are only interested in taking Hotspex "Fun" surveys simply email Carly@myhotspex.com and let us know.
    Q. I haven’t received any emails lately asking me to complete surveys. What can I do?
    • Please make sure that Carly@myhotspex.com is added to your email safelist.
    • Please make sure that your email address is entered correctly in your user profile.
    • Please complete the Hotspex "All About You" survey if you have not done so already.
    Please note that our surveys are distributed based on an Innovator’s demographics (age, sex, location etc.) If you have not received any surveys from us recently, we may not have anything available for you at the moment.
    Q. How do I invite someone to join MyHotspex?
    Simply click on the tab titled "Refer a Friend" located on the top of the MyHotspex website. To go there now, CLICK HERE.
    Q. Can more than one person from one household join MyHotspex?
    No, we only allow one member per household.
    Q. Can I have more than one MyHotspex account?
    No. Hotspex Innovators are only permitted to have one MyHotspex account. If you are discovered to have more than one account, Hotspex reserves the right to close all accounts. Any BUX you have accumulated will be immediately removed.
    Q. I donated to one of the charities in myCharities. Why don’t I see my name on the charity donor’s recognition list?
    The charity donor's recognition list updates every month to reflect the previous month’s donations. The names and cities of the top 25 donors will be listed on the Charity Donor’s page on the first of each month.
    Q. How do I unsubscribe?
    There are 3 ways to unsubscribe from MyHotspex.
    • The first is to click on the ‘Edit Profile’ tab located at the top-right and click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the page.
    • The second way is to click on the link that is located in the body of the survey invitation emails that are sent to you.
    • The third way it to send an email to Carly@myhotspex.com. Please write the word "Unsubscribe" in the email subject line.
  • myCharities FAQ

    Q. What is myCharities?
    myCharities is an exchange program giving our Innovators the opportunity to transform their BUX into donations for various featured charities. You have two options for donations with each charity. You can donate any amount or donate a specific amount for an item. For example, with Save our Strays – You can donate 2500 for a certificate to spay/neuter a cat, or any amount that will be combined with other Innovator donations towards a spay/neuter certificate.
    Q. How do I make a donation?
    It’s easy! To make a donation, visit our myCharities tab located on the menu bar on our website. There you will see a list of our Charity Partners that you can browse through and make a donation. Also included is a list of our top 25 charity donors, which is updated monthly with the donor’s first name, location and the amount they’ve donated. In order to make a donation, select the charity you’d like to contribute to, and click the ‘Make a Donation’ button.
    Q. How do I keep track of my donations?
    To keep track of the donations you have made click on the myCharities tab and scroll down to the My Charities section. Here you are able to see your donation totals, as well as your recent donations.
    Q. Do I get any recognition for the donations I’ve made?
    The top 25 donors for each month can be found by clicking the myCharities tab and clicking on View Charity Donors Donors button. Thank you for your donations!

    Q. What is myRewards?
    In our myRewards section, Innovator’s can exchange their BUX for chances to win cool prizes or do a straight exchange for PayPal funds and/or Amazon Gift Cards. You’ll also be able to contribute to our HotPot for your chance to win our monthly pot!
    Q. How do I create my free PayPal account?
    Visit the PayPal website to create your own free PayPal account. Please keep in mind that in order for you to receive your PayPal funds from us you are required to have the same email address used for both your myHotspex account and your PayPal account.
    Q. When can I expect to receive my PayPal funds and/or Amazon Gift Card(s) after redeeming my BUX?
    Once you redeem your BUX for either an Amazon Gift Card or PayPal funds, we will receive your order instantly. This does not mean that your order is processed the same day you redeem your BUX. Both Amazon Gift Cards and PayPal funds will take approximately 1-2 weeks processing time from your order date.
    Q. Will I get any confirmation of my exchange?
    No confirmation e-mail will be sent. To view your Amazon Gift Card and/or PayPal funds history simply click on the ‘myRewards’ tab and scroll down to the ‘Bank History’ section.
    Q. What is the conversion between BUX?
    The minimum dollar amount available for an Amazon Gift Card is $10.00. There are three (3) different increment amounts available:
    • 1100 BUX for a $10 gift certificate
    • 1650 BUX for a $15 gift certificate
    • 2200 BUX for a $20 gift certificate
    The minimum dollar amount available for PayPal funds is $25.00. There are two (2) different increment amounts available:
    • 2750 BUX for a $25 payment
    • 4400 BUX for a $40 payment
    Q. Which Amazon Gift Cards* are available?
    We offer Amazon.com, Amazon.ca and Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards. They are distributed based on your mailing address provided in your myHotspex profile.

    Q. Is there a maximum amount I can redeem?
    You can order up to $50 per calendar month. This is a combination of both Amazon Gift Cards and PayPal funds. For example, if you order $40 in PaylPal funds, you will be eligible for a $10 Amazon Gift Card within the same calendar month.

    Q. What is the Monthly Draw?
    The Monthly Draw is a draw completed on a monthly basis for cash prizes.
    Q. How are winners selected?
    If you have completed one of our surveys within the month you are automatically entered into the Monthly Draw. Winners are selected at random.
    Q. How many prizes can be won?
    The monthly draw consists of 4 different cash prize amounts.
    • 1 x $500
    • 1 x $250
    • 1 x $150
    • 1 x $100
    Q. If I win a Monthly Draw, how will I be contacted?
    All winners of Hotspex contests are contacted by email. Once contacted, the winner of the contest has 7 (seven) days to respond to the email to claim the prize.     Q. How long will it take to receive my prize?
    Processing time for your cash prize can vary between 2-3 weeks.
    Q. What happens if I don’t respond on time?
    If you do not respond within the 7 allotted days to claim your prize, your prize is considered forfeited and a new prize winner will be selected. Within the 7 days you will receive not only a first notification email, but a second reminder email and a final reminder email.
  • Quarterly (“Second Time Around”) Draw FAQ

    Q. What is the Quarterly “Second Time Around” Draw?
    The Quarterly “Second Time Around” Draw is a draw completed every quarter for all Innovators who have been disqualified when attempting to participate in a survey. This draw is our way of showing our appreciation for your efforts and willingness to share your thoughts and ideas in our surveys.
    Q. How is the winner selected?
    The winner of the “Second Time Around” draw is selected at random. Every time an Innovator is disqualified from a survey he or she will receive one draw entry. In order to qualify to be selected as a winner, you must be an active Innovator at the time of the draw.
    Q. What kind of prizes can be won?
    The winner of the “Second Time Around” draw will win an Apple iPad. The style/model of this prize will vary based on product availability.
    Q. If I win, can I exchange the prize for a cash equivalent?
    Prizes cannot be exchanged for the cash equivalent.
    Q. If I win the “Second Time Around” draw, how will I be contacted?
    All winners of Hotspex contests are contacted by email. Once contacted, the winner of the contest has 7 (seven) days to respond to the email to claim the prize.
